Metracker: A Tool for Tracking Performance Metrics over Time
Goal Statement:
The goal of this task is to develop a prototype tool capable of demonstrating the process of specifying, tracking, and
visualizing building performance objectives and their associated metric data across the life cycle of a building. This
process is based on a standardized yet flexible format for archiving performance data, and sharing these data between
various software tools and their users. The prototype tool will be used to promote these concepts within the building
industry, and to encourage their adoption and commercialization.
Results:
Our accomplishments to date have focused on the areas listed below:
- Metracker documentation
- Metracker Reference Manual
- Metracker software specifications documentation
- Metracker code development
- 1.5.1 and 2.0 IFC import/export capabilities
- Enhanced data visualization capabilities
- Preliminary EnergyPlus data import function
- Standardized Building Performance Metrics
- Review of existing related information frameworks
- Identification of standardized metrics sets
