Collage of various images associated with Automated Diagnostics and Prognostics research including: schematics, scatter and 3-D graphs, and an equation

Motivation / Problem Statement

Automated tools have the potential to reduce the cost and skill level associated with detecting and diagnosing operational faults and problems in buildings.

Activities / Approach

Enhance and extend LBNL's model-based diagnostics toolbox, assess commercialization pathways for diagnostic tools.

Accomplishments / Outcomes

Most enhancements nearly ready for testing, preliminary conclusions on commercialization.

Future / Follow-on

Diagnostics for building control systems.
