Dr. Jinqing Peng is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Window and Daylighting Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He is a renewable energy engineer with his main research interests on the semi-transparent building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) windows and facades, energy performance of window attachments, and modeling and simulation of distributed renewable energy systems. He is currently involved in the DOE and GPG BIPV window projects and the AERC project to develop energy performance indices for window attachments. He is the author/co-author of over 50 publications.
Dr. Peng received his Ph.D. from the Department of Building Services Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His Ph.D. research focused on the development of a ventilated semi-transparent BIPV double skin façade as well as its energy performance simulation. He received his M.S. degree in Refrigeration and Cryogenics Engineering at Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his B.S degree in Built Environment and Facilities Engineering at Nanjing Normal University.
