Lisa Rivalin is a postdoctoral research scholar at LBNL. Her research focuses on energy prediction and management for "smarter" buildings and districts using simulation and data science. She is working on new generation computing tools for building and district energy design.
She received a PhD in Applied Statistics and Building Energy from Paris Sciences et Lettres - PSL Research University (prepared in Mines ParisTech). Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on uncertainty assessment methods associated with the thermal dynamic simulation in the process of design and construction for Energy Performance Contracting. She received an M.S. in Industrial Energy from The National School of Engineering of Poitiers and an M.S. in Philosophy of Science from Paris Diderot University.
