Sravan is a Research Associate in the Building Technology & Urban Systems Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), focusing on implementation and evaluation of U.S. Department of Energy Federal Energy Management Program's (FEMP’s) Energy Efficient Product Procurement (EEPP) initiative. At LBNL, Sravan's work includes
- Estimating the Energy, Cost and GHG savings from the use of energy efficient products in the U.S federal government
- Conducting market assessments to set the energy efficiency standards for FEMP designated products
- Updating web content related to energy efficiency standards in FEMP's EEPP pages
In addition to these projects, Sravan is also looking at the impacts of climate change on the quality and quantity of water availability for U.S. Manufacturing facilities.
Sravan has a Masters degree in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara and has experience doing research and data analysis on climate change mitigation policies and local government sustainability initiatives. He also worked at an international non-profit organization focusing on corporate sustainability and GHG inventorying.
