Thank you for your interest in the 2025 California Demand Response Potential Study.
Please use the following Google Drive links to download the related files. Please note these are a large files and may take some time to download.
There are two download options below:
1) The Full Model: It was used to develop Phase 1 and Phase 2 results in the Study. This model includes both LBNL-LOAD and DR-PATH model components.
2) End-use profiles: This set of forecasted hourly loads includes ~3,000 representative clusters of customers as described in the Study. There are several scenarios for the year (2014, 2020, 2025) and other factors. The files are the output of the "LBNL-LOAD" model.
Before downloading the full model, please read Section 2 of the User Manual to determine if your computing hardware is compatible with the model, which is NOT designed to be run on standard personal computers and a minimum of 500 GB of storage space and 64 GB of RAM is recommended. It is designed for a unix-based operating system.
The end-use load profiles are in a large (~6 GB) zip file, but the unzipped contents can be accessed and analyzed on a typical personal computer.
The updated code and input files in "DR Futures V.2" reflect additional features added to the model to support "Phase 2" of the California Demand Response Potential Study. The original User Manual for "Version 1" of the model still applies to this new version, as the underlying architecture of the model is not changed. There are minor changes to the workflow of the code notebooks that are noted in comments and descriptions in the notebooks.
