Kopal Nihar
Kopal Nihar is a Rosenfeld Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the Building Technology and Urban Systems Division. Her research focuses on the human dimension of building performance, particularly occupant behavior, sufficiency strategies, and demand flexibility during extreme weather events. She holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Design and Construction from Stanford University, where she developed data-driven models of environmental parameters to optimize occupant comfort and energy efficiency. Her work highlights the growing impact of climate change on indoor environments, advocating for occupant-centric approaches to improve building resilience and sustainability.
