Meenakshi Venkatraman

Meena brings a multidisciplinary background in engineering and public policy to making energy technologies more accessible. Her work focuses on lowering barriers to adoption by guiding government procurement stakeholders towards more efficient products, analyzing drivers of cost and regulatory barriers in home energy retrofits, and providing research and technical assistance to energy programs. She uses data analysis, market research, and practioner insights from surveys and interviews to inform practical, effective policy implementation solutions. Previously, Meena worked on campus energy efficiency and affordable housing research at the University of California, Davis, where she earned an M.S. in Energy Systems.
