Reva Deshpande
Reva is an Energy Technology Researcher at Berkeley Lab's Building Technology and Urban Systems Division. She plays a key role in the US Department of Energy's Better Climate Challenge (BCC) Program, developing critical tools and resources to support over 150 organizations in decarbonizing their portfolios by reducing their greenhouse gas emissions.
Reva's research also explores innovative approaches to grid resilience, including the development of a Federal Demand Flexibility Challenge that optimizes peak energy demand in federal buildings.
Previously, Reva worked on energy efficiency standards rulemaking and led analyses for energy savings calculations, life-cycle costs, and statistical analysis for energy policy development. As an Energy Engineer, she also helped commercial and industrial clients achieve strategic energy management, conducting energy audits and identifying upgrades for energy-efficient, cost-effective operations.
Reva holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in California.
