Abstract
This paper summarizes the doctoral research of the first author, discusses the contributions to knowledge, and outlines the initial results. The research proposes a semantic sdriven framework that leverages semantic models to support the scalability of demand flexibility control applications through improved interoperability and portability. The framework is evaluated in a standardized building testing platform, particularly focusing on the portability of a generic load shedding application across two buildings. This research is an important step towards the needed scale of demand flexibility applications, streamlining their development and deployment using minimal manual effort.
