Travis Walter
My research focuses on energy efficiency in buildings, with an emphasis on statistical data analysis. Recently, I have been working with cities and states to understand the impacts of enacting building performance standards. I also develop energy data software (I am the technical lead on the Building Performance Database), and I analyze the energy savings potential of new technologies and systems using experimental data. I earned a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California in Berkeley, and I earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle.
